Rafferty Alden Pendery was born 1986. He came into this world at his parents’ home in Los Angeles, California.
His father, Rick, is the founder and Executive Director of a non-profit drug and criminal rehabilitation organization. He has done many things from business consulting, to contracting. He has been involved in Drug Rehabilitation for the last 30 years.
His mother, Bella, has also had a diverse life from managing offices and large corporations to running rehabilitation programs for inmates.
It's not surprising that his parents' sense of service and dedication to others has rubbed off on their son. Since a very young age, Mr. Pendery has contributed many hours of service to a number of social betterment groups.
He attended middle school at a private school in Los Angeles. He finished high school at fourteen and then went on to do executive, college level business training up to the age of eighteen. At the age of eighteen, he completed his formal education and went on to become the Deputy Executive Director of a non-profit drug and criminal rehabilitation program.
He started his first business at the age of nine. An avid skate boarder, he decided to start a skateboard clothing company. He envisioned a design for a t-shirt and then had an artist create the design and found a screen printer who would print the design on his t-shirts. He got his start up capital by doing chores for his family. This first enterprise netted him $1,500.
His early experience in the clothing business stood him in good stead when he launched 98th Street Clothing Company in January 2006.
In early 2007, using the experience he gained from designing and developing a web site for his clothing company, he launched Studio98. The winning combination of a unique business model and a world wide team of designers and developers has gained his latest enterprise widespread attention from both businesses and individuals seeking an effective presence on the world wide web.
Over the years he has pursued numerous past times, some for profit, some just for the sheer fun of it. Some of his many enthusiasms are: playing drums, flying planes, hot air ballooning, sky diving, and scuba diving.
For the last several years he has been actively working on a number of adventurous missions in order to qualify for membership in the Explorer's Club. His most recent adventure toward that end was serving as crew chief for a hot air balloon team. The team was assembled to work on a NASA Mars Exploration - Spaceward Bound 2007. His team's mission was to test the feasibility of doing thermo graphic imaging from a lighter than air craft. The results of these tests will be used to further the advancement of knowledge and eventual human presence on Mars. Besides leading the air balloon team, Mr. Pendery also designed the patch that was being created as a recognition of the accomplishments of the mission.
If his past accomplishments are any indication of future success, Mr. Pendery's future will most likely include exponential business acclaim, the summit of Everest, the rocky plains of Mars and perhaps even scuba diving as part of official explorer club exploration.
