Bio

Rafferty Alden Pendery was born in 1986. He came into this world at his parents’ home in Los Angeles, California. His father, Rick, has worked in many fields from business consulting to contracting and has been involved in drug rehabilitation for the last 30 years.

His mother, Bella, has also had a diverse life from managing offices and large corporations to running drug rehabilitation programs for inmates.

It's not surprising that his parents' sense of service and dedication to others rubbed off on him. From a very young age, Mr. Pendery contributed many hours of service to a number of social betterment groups.

He attended middle school at a private school in Los Angeles and finished high school at the young age of fourteen. He went on to do executive business training until he was eighteen.

He started his first business at the age of nine. An avid skate boarder, he decided to start a skateboard clothing company. He envisioned a design for a t-shirt, had an artist create it and found a screen printer to print it on his t-shirts. He got his start up capital by doing chores for his family. This first enterprise netted him $1,500.

His early experience in the clothing business stood him in good stead when he launched 98th Street Clothing Company in January 2006.

In early 2007, using the experience he gained from designing and developing a web site for his clothing company, he launched Studio98. The winning combination of a unique business model and a world wide team of designers and developers has gained his latest enterprise widespread attention from both businesses and individuals seeking an effective presence on the world wide web. Over the years he has pursued numerous past times, some for profit and some for the sheer fun of it. A few of his many interests are: playing drums, flying airplanes, hot air ballooning, sky diving and scuba diving.

For the last several years he has been actively working on numerous missions to qualify for membership in the Explorers Club. His most recent adventures were with the various analog Mars research teams with NASA AMES and the Canadian Space Agency. If his past accomplishments are any indication of future success, Mr. Pendery's future will most likely include business acclaim, the summit of Everest, the rocky plains of Mars and perhaps even scuba diving as part of the official Explorers Club explorations.
